Na fase de afilhamento (cerca de 15 dias ap\u00f3s a germina\u00e7\u00e3o), surgem novos colmos, denominados de afilhos \/ perfilhos, envolvidos nos pr\u00f3filos (estruturas foliares). <br><br>Ap\u00f3s essa fase, o colmo se alonga de forma acelerada, pois em cada entren\u00f3 haver\u00e1 uma regi\u00e3o de crescimento. Geralmente as flores superiores s\u00e3o imperfeitas ou est\u00e9reis. <br>J\u00e1 na base da espigueta est\u00e3o duas br\u00e1cteas, denominadas de glumas, que protegem as flores das espiguetas. Estas glumas diferem bastante entre si quanto \u00e0s caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas, o que auxilia na diferencia\u00e7\u00e3o entre as cultivares.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-info-box uagb-block-1cc27b0f uagb-infobox__content-wrap  uagb-infobox-icon-above-title uagb-infobox-image-valign-top\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-content\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-title-wrap\"><\/div><p class=\"uagb-ifb-desc\">As flores s\u00e3o formadas por lemas, podendo ou n\u00e3o apresentar aristas, e p\u00e1lea, que protegem a flor. Entre a lema e a p\u00e1lea est\u00e1 o gineceu (formado por ov\u00e1rio, estilete e estigma) e o androceu (formado por tr\u00eas estames: tr\u00eas filetes e tr\u00eas anteras).<br>Ap\u00f3s a fecunda\u00e7\u00e3o, as flores se abrem e ocorre a extrus\u00e3o das anteras, ocorrendo, a partir daqui, a forma\u00e7\u00e3o dos gr\u00e3os.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-5ecbe93d alignfull uagb-is-root-container\"><div class=\"uagb-container-inner-blocks-wrap\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-eb434ae5\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-info-box uagb-block-fd4d443d uagb-infobox__content-wrap  uagb-infobox-icon-above-title uagb-infobox-image-valign-top\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-content\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-title-wrap\"><h3 class=\"uagb-ifb-title\"><strong><strong><strong>Gr\u00e3o de trigo<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3><\/div><p class=\"uagb-ifb-desc\"> O gr\u00e3o de trigo (do tipo cariopse)&nbsp;\u00e9 pequeno (6 a 7 mm), seco e indeiscente (n\u00e3o se abre naturalmente quando maduro). Em cada flor \u00e9 formado apenas um gr\u00e3o, com formato bastante vari\u00e1vel (curto, comprido, estreito, redondo&#8230;), causando diferen\u00e7as expressivas no seu peso espec\u00edfico.
